{"id":93,"date":"2015-02-09T00:00:38","date_gmt":"2015-02-08T22:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lnxwebs45.cpt.wa.co.za\/~yvonnech\/promotions\/?p=93"},"modified":"2016-02-26T13:01:28","modified_gmt":"2016-02-26T11:01:28","slug":"launch-of-mama-chakas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yvonnechakachaka.co.za\/promotions\/launch-of-mama-chakas\/","title":{"rendered":"Launch of Mama Chaka&#8217;s"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-93\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-93-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-93-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-93-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_black-studio-tinymce widget_black_studio_tinymce panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" ><div class=\"textwidget\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mama Chaka\u2019s to feed the nation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Yvonne Chaka Chaka is better known for entertaining South Africans, but now she\u2019s teamed up with Econ Food Concepts, a subsidiary of Roelcor Holdings, to help feed the nation through an exciting and necessary new food initiative.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now available in the Western Cape, Mama Chaka\u2019s ready-made meals will allow busy or cash-strapped South African\u2019s living in townships the chance to purchase an affordable and nutritious meal.<br \/> \u201cMama Chaka\u2019s meals will allow people to enjoy fresh, traditional meals on a heat and eat basis which would not otherwise have been possible,\u201d says Dennis Finch of Econ Food Concepts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Internationally acclaimed singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka says that too many South Africans go to bed hungry and that Mama Chaka\u2019s aims to redress the problem. \u201cThis is a good concept where people can get not only affordable, but good nutritious food,\u201d says Chaka Chaka. \u201cThis is a good enough reason for me to get involved in the project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Chaka Chaka has already sampled the Mama Chaka\u2019s menu and says the food is delicious. \u201cI really love the pap and liver meal. Pap and tripe are my best meals - including samp,\u201d says Chaka Chaka. \u201cThis is nutritious food and I am excited that people will have the opportunity to try it themselves. It\u2019s precooked and all you have to do is wash your hands, warm up your food and eat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mama Chaka\u2019s also aims to empower women in the townships by offering franchise opportunities. \u201cThere are mamas in the townships who are not working. By creating jobs and the opportunities to run a franchise we hope to change that situation too,\u201d says Chaka Chaka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Discussing Chaka Chaka\u2019s involvement in the Mama Chaka\u2019s concept, Finch says, \u201cYvonne has an incredible rapport with the people of this country and Africa as a whole. She is very involved with the upliftment of the black communities and women in particular. She is a United Nations ambassador and is actively involved in many worthy causes. She personifies our vision of and for Mama Chaka\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first five Mama Chaka\u2019s kiosks will be located in Khayelitsha (two), with one in Gugulethu, one in Kraaifontein and one in Langa. The roll out in the Western Cape will continue at a rate of 5 x kiosks per month into the New Year.
